The Perfect Repurposed Jar- Peanut Butter Jar

My family has a serious love of peanut butter. My husband considers himself a master at creating the perfect jelly to peanut butter ratio. Therefore I have a steady flow of peanut butter jars. I use them all the time. I love my jelly jars too but these plastic jars are just awesome for holding a wide variety of items.

They are useful water containers for water coloring because you can take it anywhere and you can use the lid to create a wash. If you add a rubber band to slip in your paintbrushes, pencils and other tools you have a nifty watercolor kit.

Perfect Snack containers for holding my vanilla macaroon granola.

Wonderful ideas for peanut butter jars... I especially like the idea of adding a rubberband to hold paint brushes... We always have a lot of peanut butter at our house too:)

Oh I absolutely love the idea of using them for watercoloring and the rubberband for holding the paint brushes on! Great stuff :) I came via crafty crow and I"m glad I did.

Those are some great ideas! I sometimes use them to make shakers for all sorts of materials to use at school. Preschoolers love that. I use mason jars that aren't full of jam or fruits to store my granola-but that's not as kid friendly!

How do you manage to get the label off? I always end up with a gummy, sticky residue.

I have found that these lables come off pretty easy but when I do get a sticky lable I use a goo gone pen. I found it on the cleaning aisle it looks like a marker but has this citrus stuff in it that gets all the goo off. I love it for all those sticky situations!

That is the coolest idea with the water and paint brush. Finally something purposeful with our addiction to Jif!

Love this idea! This post would be a perfect one to link up to "Twice the Fun Tuesday" at my site havingfunathomeblog.blogspot.com.

Twice the Fun is a weekly mr. linky about creative recycling that will start next Tuesday (Oct 14.) It would be great to see your post there!
