If you have ever wanted to give it a try I would recommend the patterns from Sublime Stitching. They are modern little patterns that take the guess work out of stitching and the site has everything you need to know to start. I am all about trying new things and I have wanted to give this a whirl. Loads of fun.
I picked up these suitcases at the thrift store this morning. My daughter will love them.

thanks for the link. i've been thinking i might want to try my hand at embroidery (since my to-do list is not long enough already!) and i was just looking for cool modern patterns yesterday.
we are on the same wavelength laura! i've been eyeing the sublime stitchinb book at my local bookstore, i'm eyeing vintage suitcases in hope to start a fun collection (yours are insanely awesome!), and i've been wanting to try plastic canvas crafting! cute cute stuff!!!
